Episode 44: The Amityville Horror House
Tuesday Jan 18, 2022
Tuesday Jan 18, 2022
In 1974, Ronald DeFeo Jr. killed his entire family while they slept in their beds. Only 13 months later, the Lutz family would move into the home. The Lutz family was initially unbothered by the home's history, but they would remain there for only 28 days before fleeing in terror, claiming it was inhabited by evil spirits. The stories surrounding the house at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, NY are controversial - including demonic pigs, levitating beds, green slime, and photographic evidence of a ghost boy. Nearly 50 years later, the question remains... was the home haunted, or was the whole thing a hoax?

In the late 1960s, a Glasgow Ballroom became the hunting ground for a suspected serial killer. Three women were killed within less than two years. All had been at the Barrowland Ballroom the night before their murders, all were killed in the same manner, and strangely, all three women were on their periods when they were murdered. Police began to hunt for a man they dubbed "Bible John" - and while plenty of suspects came about, even now, over 50 years later, Bible John has still not been found.
